Oscar Benny Miley

Oscar Benny Miley, 93, of Petersburg, Indiana, passed away on March 11, 2026, at Amber Manor Care Center. Oscar was born on June 28, 1932, to Troy and Mary Marie (Fowler) Miley. He married Thelma Berniece West on February 28, 1953. He worked as a farmer, carpenter and eventually retired from Petersburg Elementary School, where he served on the maintenance staff. Ben was a member of the Rumbletown Free Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Berniece Miley; one daughter, Sandra (Terry) Hedges; a granddaughter, Mindi (Brad) Morris; his great grandchildren, Andrew and Grace Morris; one sister, Tess Kinder; and many extended friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his son, Michael E. Miley; his son-in-law, Ken Greubel; his parents and six siblings.

There will be a graveside service held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 1:00 pm (Eastern Standard Time), at Willis Cemetery in Willisville, Indiana. The service will be open to anyone who would like to attend along with his close family and friends. Pastor Dave Mullis will be officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Rumbletown Free Methodist Church or St. Jude Hospital for Children.
