Osia Ferebee

It is with deep affection and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Osia Alis Ferebee, affectionately known as "The Superb Fereb." Born in Norfolk, Virginia, to Johnie Ferebee and Alcones Price, Osia was an extraordinary individual who exemplified honor and service, and an unwavering commitment to both his country and his community.
Osia served 27 distinguished years in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Sergeant Major, and was awarded two Bronze Star Medals for his exemplary contributions. After his military tenure, he persisted in his commitment to serving his community by protecting and uplifting his hometown as a dedicated operational officer with the Norfolk Police Department for seven years.
Osia, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, shared a cherished 29 years of marriage with his wife, Bernice Ferebee. He was preceded in death by his daughter, April C. Irondi, and is survived by a loving family, including his children, Otis Ferebee and Stacy Beasley, as well as his stepdaughters, Pamela Graham, Joyce Bills, and Brenda Bullock, along with numerous relatives and friends who will eternally honor his memory.
Osia's strength, compassion, and sense of humor left a mark on everyone he met. His enduring legacy of service and love continues to resonate within us all.
