Otis Steven "Steve" Callahan, age 70, passed away on June 5, 2025 at Majestic Care in Middletown, Ohio. He was born on June 2nd, 1955 in Middletown to the late Bill and Pauline (South) Callahan. Steve graduated from Franklin High School in 1973, where he was an avid baseball player. After high school, he went on to work for the Ohio Department of Transportation where he retired after 30 years of service. In his free time, he loved watching sports, especially the Cincinnati Bengals, Reds, and the OSU Buckeyes. He especially enjoyed fishing on his luxury boat. Steve is survived by his brother-in-law, Dave Taylor; his uncle, Sherrill (Francis) Callahan; two nephews, Josh (Becki) Taylor of Centerville, Ohio and Brian (Rochelle) Taylor of Destin, Florida; and several cousins, special friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Pauletta Taylor; and his uncle, D.C. Callahan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Baker Stevens Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Ave, Middletown, OH 45005 from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm. His funeral service will immediately follow visitation at 3:30, officiated by Jerry Minor. He will be laid to rest at Woodside Cemetery at a later date.
