Ottis Lambright Jr

Ottis Lambright, Jr., of Buna, Texas, passed away surrounded by family and love. He was born on October 16, 1948, and raised in Elizabeth, Louisiana. Ottis made Buna his home for the past 50 years, where he built a life rooted in
hard work, kindness, and a love for simple joys.
A retired carpenter and barber, Ottis had a gift for fixing just about anything-mechanical, electrical, or otherwise. He loved taking on projects big and small, always finding satisfaction in making things work again. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tending his garden. Saturdays often found him at estate sales, garage sales, or flea markets, searching for treasures and enjoying the company of others.
More than anything, Ottis loved his family. He shared his life with his devoted wife, Cynthia Jenkins Lambright, and together they built a family full of love and laughter. He was the proud father of Randal Lambright (Vanessa), Deborah Michelle Lambright, Sharra Green (Bud), and Michael Lambright (Amie), as well as Jim Sanders and Jerry Sanders. He was a brother to Murphy Lambright and Janice Bartlett, and a grandfather to 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends each of whom brought him immense joy and who will miss him deeply.
Ottis was preceded in death by his parents, Ottis Lambright, Sr. and Hazel Willis Lambright; his brothers James Lambright and Brian Lambright; his sisters Amanda Jordan and Linda Durden; his son John Sanders; and his granddaughter Natalie Sanders. Their memories, like his, live on through the family and friends who loved them dearly.
Funeral service will be 2 pm Sunday, October 26, 2025 at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Buna. Visitation will be 5-8 pm, Saturday, October 25 at the funeral home.
