Pablo Antonio Mesta De La Paz, age 77, of Del Rio, Texas, passed away on August 8, 2024, in Humble, Texas. He was born on July 24, 1947, to Emilio Mesta Moreno and Micaela De La Paz Magallanes in Coahuila, Mexico.
Pablo was a man of strong faith, practicing as a Baptist and attending church whenever he could. He found immense joy in spending time with his grandchildren, whose company always brought a smile to his face. A homebody at heart, Pablo enjoyed watching TV and would wake up early to catch the morning news, sharing the day's happenings with anyone who passed by. He had a passion for fishing and loved talking about his family, often reminiscing about his siblings, children, grandchildren, and nephews. His love for Whataburger was well-known, and it was fittingly his last meal before he passed away.
Pablo is preceded in death by his parents, Emilio Mesta Moreno and Micaela De La Paz Magallanes, and his siblings, Emilio Mesta, Lupe Arreola, Fortino Mesta, Hervey Mesta, Abel Mesta, y Angelina Mesta.
He is survived by his sons, Pablo Antonio Mesta, and his wife, Maria Lopez, Jaime and his wife Sally Mesta, and Abel Mesta and his wife Lana Agustin; his siblings, Hortencia Duran, Julia Hernandez, David Mesta, and Amador Mesta,; his grandchildren, Sergio Jr., Jumyra and her husband Jesus, Joel, Danielle and her partner Israel, Josefina and her husband Luis, Jaime, Sally, Alizabeth, A'yana, and Abel; and his great grandchildren Joshua, Jeremiah, Valerie, Christopher, Anabelle, Sebastian, Nicholas, Francisco, Nova, baby Leo, Enrique, Aldo Jr., and Alessandra.
Pablo will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends.
