Pamela "Pam" Jean Borchardt, 80, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia. Born on November 16, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Raymond and Agnes Borchardt, Pam lived a life defined by strength, pride, resilience, and unwavering love for her family and friends.
Pam worked hard throughout her life and took pride in everything she did. She spent her earlier years working as a hairdresser and waitress. After finding a passion for baking, she became a baker at Dominick's, where she baked for over 10 years before retiring. After retirement, she became the property manager for The Trees of Wheaton, where she had previously served as the President of the HOA for over 5 years.
She found joy and happiness living life to the fullest. Pam loved her cats, finding comfort in their companionship. Ever since she was a child helping in her parents' vegetable garden, she had a passion for gardening-a passion that later bloomed in her own award-winning garden filled with stargazer lilies. In her quieter moments, she could often be found playing solitaire - a small, familiar ritual that reflected her independence and thoughtful nature.
Pam was a strong and proud woman who stood up for what she believed in. But above all, she was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her son, Joseph Borchardt, and her granddaughter, Chloe Borchardt, who were the center of her world and the greatest joy of her life.
Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.mckoon.com
She had an uncanny ability to always remember everyone's birthday and to send a card, often filled with money she needed. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her strength, her sense of humor, her kindness, and generosity.
