Pamela Marie Cornutt

Mrs. Pamela Marie "Pam" Cornutt, age 70, of Hixson, Tennessee, departed this life Friday morning, January 30, 2026, at her home, with her loving husband at her side.

Pam was born January 17, 1956, in Americus, Georgia, a daughter of the late Edmund Glubka and Lisbeth Ann Payne Cox. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Scotty Cox; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Patricia and Howard Cloer; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Maurine and Cecil Cornutt.

Pam was a 1974 graduate of Ooltewah High School and retired from Southeastern Retina Associates, where she worked for many years and took great pride in caring for others through her work.

Pam had a rare and beautiful gift-she loved to make people laugh, smile, and feel truly seen. She had a special place in her heart for older people, always going out of her way to make them feel valued and loved. A natural caregiver, Pam gave freely of herself and her time, often putting others before herself.

She was creative at heart and found joy in crafting, floral arranging, cross-stitching, painting, and gardening. She especially loved being outdoors and had a fond affection for the color purple, which reflected her vibrant and joyful spirit.

Pam is survived by her loving husband, Clifford Cornutt, with whom she recently celebrated forty-nine years of marriage on December 28, 2025; her son, Marc Cornutt of Cookeville, Tennessee; daughters, Samantha and Tim Dye of Hixson, Tennessee, and Serena and Chad Hullender of South Pittsburg, Tennessee; grandchildren, Madison Bledsoe, Gracee Bledsoe, Aidan Dye, Ian Dye, Houston Harmon, and Emersyn Cornutt; great-grandchildren, Mavrick Ray and Xander Ray; brother, Steve and Cheryl Conner of Puryear, Tennessee; brother-in-law, William Cornutt of Dalton, Georgia; sister-in-law, Linda Cox of Tennessee, and several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Pamela Marie "Pam" Cornutt will be held Friday, February 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Center Point Baptist Church (420 Center Point Dr., SE, Dalton, GA 30721), with Dr. Steve Granger, Pastor of Hixson First Baptist Church, officiating. She will be laid to rest in the church cemetery. Timothy Dye, Ian Dye, Aidan Dye, Marc Cornutt, Houston Harmon, and Jacob Ray will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday, and after 10:30 a.m. Friday until the service hour.
