Pamela Johnson Deville

Pamela Johnson Deville, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and loyal friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Slaughter on Monday, July 14, 2025. She was 66 years old.
Pamela had a heart as big as the world-she never met a stranger. Her warmth and kindness made everyone feel welcome, whether they were lifelong friends or someone she had just met. She was the heart of her family, always caring for her children, grandchildren, and extended family with unwavering love, patience, and strength.
She found her greatest joy in spending time with loved ones, especially during family camping trips and road trips with her husband and grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling with friends and cherished the adventures they shared on cruises. Her joyful spirit, sense of humor, and deep love for others made every journey a treasured memory.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Teddy Deville, and their children: Lisa Deville-McCorkle and husband, Matthew; Michelle Bernard and husband, Shawn; and Jeff Deville and wife, Joy. She also leaves behind her loving mother, Margaret Ann Johnson; her adored grandchildren: Nathan Deville and fiancée, Kacey Kyle; Tayla Deville, Levi Deville, Riley Bernard, Adam Deville, LV King, Triston Shirly, and Cheyenne Shirly; and great-grandchildren: Elijah Deville and Ezra Deville.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hollis Johnson, and her brother, Robert Johnson.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Charlet Funeral Home in Zachary, followed by a Memorial Service at 5:00 p.m.
In honor of Pamela's giving nature, memorial donations may be made to a local charity of your choice.
Pamela's legacy of love, laughter, adventure, and compassion lives on in all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a world made better by her presence and a family deeply proud to have called her their own.
