Pamela Ann Goates

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Pamela Ann Goates, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Pam left this world surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, and devotion to her family. Family was always at the heart of her life. She was a loving wife to her husband, Jerry (Rusty) Goates; a caring mother to her daughter Cindy Hamlin and husband Chris, and to her son Steven Goates; and a proud grandmother to her grandson, James Hamlin, who was truly her pride and joy. She is also survived by her loving mother, Mary Carr; her sister Jan Baker and husband Kerry; and her brother Terry Carr and wife Chris. Pam's love extended to her nieces and nephews, including JW Baker and wife Vonda, Dustin Baker, Ashley Adames and husband Justin, and Brittany Simmons, as well as her cherished great-nieces and great-nephews. She now joins her father, Archie Carr, who passed before her. A gifted artist with a beautifully creative spirit, Pam expressed her love for life through her art, imagination, and ability to make everyday moments special. She cherished traveling and especially treasured her summers in the mountains of New Mexico-where this past summer she found joy visiting her grandson James, drawing peace and inspiration from those moments together. Her tender heart extended to every member of the family, including the four-legged ones. Pam adored the family dogs and never missed the chance to shower them with affection and cookie time. Pam's warmth, laughter, and love will forever be remembered by all who knew her. She leaves behind not only her beloved family, but also countless memories of joy, creativity, and unconditional love.

Funeral services for Pam Goates will be held at 4:00 pm Tuesday, August 26,2025 at Lamar St Baptist Church Sweetwater, TX with Jacob West Officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. There will be a visitation on Monday, August 25,2025 starting at 6:00pm until 8:00pm, at McCoy Funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Chris Hamlin, James Hamlin, JW Baker, Dustin Baker, Justin Adames, Keiton Simmons & Honorary Pallbearer, Blake Adames
