Obituary of Pamela Hanson
Pamela Delores (Thayer) Hanson, age 76, of Superior WI passed away at Essentia Hospital in Duluth, on December 27th, 2024 surrounded by her family. Pam was born October 5, 1948 in Ashland WI. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1966 and moved to Superior shortly afterwards. Pam worked for Qwest Communications for 29 years, retiring in 2002 as an Engineer. After retirement she continued to work part-time for several local companies, most recently, Manion Foods.
Pam was a loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother to her family. She was thoughtful to everyone she encountered and enjoyed doing special things for the people in her life. Many coworkers, friends, and neighbors have enjoyed her delicious pizzas and desserts over the years.
Pam is survived by her husband of 36 years, James; her brother, Ed Thayer (Judy); daughters, Kristin Vesel and Sheri Carlson; grandsons, Riley and Conner Vesel, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends.
Pam is preceeded in death by her parents, Wallace and Laverne Thayer; many aunts, uncles and cousins and her beloved dog Libby.
Per Pam's wishes, no services will take place at this time. A celebration of life will be held in Summer 2025.
Arrangements are being handled through the Cremation Society of MN - Duluth. Please visit their website to sign a guestbook and share well wishes with the family.
