If you had the pleasure of knowing Pam, you know that her kind heart would help you in any situation she could... as long as she had her cup of coffee in the morning first. Pam was the fire and spice of life that everyone needed. She filled the room with her smile and her opinion, and you were there for it. You loved her for it.
Pamela Ann (West) Hebeler, 65 from the Lansing area, passed away unexpectedly January 11, 2025. Born in Owosso on September 22, 1959, to Milton and Janet (Bennett) West, Pam grew up in a beautifully large family full of amazing brothers and sisters in the Shiawassee area and graduated from Owosso High School.
As a mother and wife for 20 years, she resided in St. Johns where she cleaned houses and watched her two daughters grow up, dance, graduate, and move forward in life. After a while, Pam also spread her wings to Lansing and found herself at MSU where she remained until her passing as a Skilled Painter for the IPF Building. During this time of her life, many great friends, laughs, and memories were made that were sure to follow her until the end of her life. Everyone who knew her smiled as they talked about her. Her warmth and compassion, her sass, her ability to be quick-witted. Her talents and wisdom extended far beyond anything you could ever put on paper; her kindness made waves.
Pam is survived by her two daughters and best friends who loved her so much: daughter Samantha Lischefski (s/o Patrick Meinke) with grandchildren Michael and Isla Lischefski; and daughter Sabrina (Aaron) Shaver with grandchildren Anna, Isaiah, and Andrew Shaver. Pam also leaves behind brother, Steve West; brother, Tracy West; brother Kevin (Carolyn) West; sister Brenda (Ben) Hudson; sister, Belinda West Marton; brother Brent (Jane) West; best friend, Deb Russell; multiple nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Janet West.
To honor her, we are inviting you to gather, share in food, and remember the light that she was in this world by celebrating her life on February 15th from 1 - 4 PM at the MSU University Club Heritage Room, 3435 Forest Road, Lansing.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers towards her grandchildren.
