Pamela Kay Morgan

Our dearest Pamela Kay Morgan, of Springfield, Missouri, went home to be with our Lord and Savior, the morning of May 2nd, 2025. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Paul with daughter-in-law, Kathy, daughter, Melissa, brother, Kelly with sister-in-law Janice, sister, Nancy, brother-in-law Earl with sister-in-law Susie, grandchildren Mercedes with grandson-in-law, Esteban, Matthew, Noel, Andrew, and Noah, with her great grandchildren,Sophia, Becca, Tommy, Levi, and Amilia, and by her many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Born May 22nd, 1944, in Springfield, Missouri, she enjoyed her childhood as the oldest of the four children of William and Dorothy Martin. She later met the love of her life in 1962, Jim, while attending college. They married on January 16th, 1965. She loved children and knew she was called to be a mother. Pamela had two children of her own, Paul and Melissa.
Pam found enjoyment in everything life had to offer. She loved playing cards with her beloved husband, Jim, spending time at their cabin at Table Rock Lake, she loved going to church, and hosting her family for supper and holidays. She always had an open door and welcomed everyone into her home with a big smile while shouting, "Welcome! Welcome! Welcome!" Pam was the best grandmother. She was known by everyone she met as Grandma Pam or Gigi, and if you had the chance to meet her, she became your Grandma Pam, too.
She was a devout Christian from a very young age, when she was raised as a Baptist Christian. She walked in her life as Jesus did, loving everyone as they were God's children. For many years, she was involved in her local South-Haven Baptist Church, in Springfield. Here, she sang in the choir, played in the women's handbell group, packed boxes for Operation Christmas Child, and served as a Vacation Bible School Marketplace leader.
Pam was a woman of absolute joyfulness and laughter, and was always looking for a way to
bring a smile to her family's face. She was the center of so many people's favorite memories, and the biggest cheerleader through everyone's triumphs.
At the time of Pam's passing, she was at peace, surrounded by family. She had a smile on her face for as long as she could, displaying her persistent happiness and exuberance until the very end. The way she uplifted those around her with her spunky personality and cheerful heart created memories that will be held dearly, forever.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 24th, 2025, at 10am, with service to follow, starting at 11am, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, 3506 N. National Avenue in Springfield, Missouri.
The family wishes to send special thanks to everyone who has reached out with kind words, condolences, thoughtful prayers, and acts of kindness during this difficult time.
