Pamela Tiedt Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McGeehan Funeral Homes Keck-Coleman Chapel on Sep. 3, 2025.
Pamela Sue Tiedt, age 72, of St. Johns, died peacefully at her home on September 2, 2025.

Born on April 5, 1953, in Carson City, MI, Pam was the middle of three children of Gerald C. and Betty Jean (Phillips) Rossow, Sr. On January 28, 1978, in the midst of a snowstorm, she married the love of her life, Phillip Tiedt, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fowler. They shared a deep bond until his passing in 1998, and Pam remained devoted to him throughout her life. Together, they raised their family in St. Johns, where she was a loving homemaker to their two children, Russ and Deanna.

Pam will be remembered as friendly and jovial, with a gift for conversation-she could strike up a chat with anyone, anywhere. She loved reading, playing computer games, shopping, and was known for her joking spirit. She was strong-willed and independent, always willing to lend a hand to others. Pam was a caregiver by nature, caring for her mother, her mother-in-law, and later her granddaughter, Stephanie. She was also a dog lover, and deeply mourned the loss of her beloved Jack earlier this August.

She is survived by her children, Russell Tiedt and Deanna Montgomery; her grandchildren, Phillip Tiedt, Alexis Tiedt, and Stephanie (Randy) Tiedt; her brother, Rev. Gerald Rossow, Jr.; brother-in-law, Roger (Martha) Tiedt, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Phillip; and her brother, Randy Rossow.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 5, 2025, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 329 N. Sorrell St., Fowler, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM. Pastor Paul Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Paul Lutheran Church or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
