Laura Lee Tiedt of Kansas City, MO passed away on May 20, 2025 at the age of 79. She was born on April 10, 1946 in Battle Creek, Michigan and lived in Bellevue, Michigan until 1958 when she and her family relocated to Colorado Springs, Colorado.
She attended University of Colorado Boulder. After marrying and moving to the Kansas City area, she worked for the Liberty Shopper Newspaper, Kearney Courier Newspaper, Ogden Allied, and retired from Commerce Bank in 2016.
Laura was an exceptional mother, sister, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was always kind-hearted, compassionate, and very proud and supportive of her family. She enjoyed drawing, painting, traveling, learning and being with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Cleo "Bill" and Mary Holcomb. Survived by her twin brother Terry Holcomb, sons Roy Hamilton (Gayla) and Randy Tiedt, grandchildren Chris Hamilton (Shannon), Kelsey Hamilton, Brooke Stemme (Jacob), Ryan Tiedt, and great-granddaughter Lane Hamilton.
Services will be held on Thursday, May 29th at 1:00pm at Terrace Park Cemetery - Lakeside Chapel located at 801 N.W. 108th Street, Kansas City, MO 64155. Pastor Frank Greene will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to NorthCare Hospice.
