Eunice Irene Tiedt, age 90, of rural St. Johns, died peacefully on January 26, 2025, surrounded by family.
Eunice was born in Owosso on October 18, 1934, the daughter of Stanley and Nellie (Ferman) George and grew up in St. Johns where she was a graduate of Rodney B. Wilson High School. On May 14, 1955 she married Keith Teidt in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fowler and made their home on Forest Hill Road where they raised four children. In addition to raising her family, Eunice enjoyed working with Clinton Bank, now Huntington Bank in St. Johns, for many years until her retirement in 1999. Outside of work she enjoyed painting and sewing.
She was a wonderful mother and will be dearly missed by her children, Terri Snider, Rhonda & Kevin Burns, Michael & Paula Tiedt and Eric Tiedt all of St. Johns; her special friend and companion, Duane Davis; grandchildren, Joshua Snider, Matthew Warr, Jennifer (Caleb) Hopka, Rachel (Rob) Hartsuff, Aaron Burns, Stephanie (Eddie) Mazurski, Miranda (Gauthier Bellion) Tiedt; many great grandchildren, her brother-in-law, Jerry (the late Kay) Tiedt, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty-one years, Keith Tiedt, her parents, and siblings, Ed, Don, Joanne, and Beverly.
Visitation will be held at McGeehan Funeral Home, Keck-Coleman Chapel, 1500 Waterford Pkwy, St. Johns on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 3-8 PM.
A Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 329 N Sorrell St., Fowler on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 12 Noon with Pastor Paul Clark officiating. Friends may visit the church on Friday from 11 AM until the time of the service. A luncheon will follow.
Memorials may be made in her name to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
