LIMA -- Pamela J. "Pam" Vermillion, 71, of Lima, passed away July 6, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Pam was born July 5, 1954, in Loudonville, OH, to James and Janet (Shaw) Smithhisler who preceded her in death. On June 16, 1973 she married William E. 'Bill' Vermillion who preceded her in death on April 19, 2025.
Surviving are their children: Todd (Ellen) Vermillion, Rob (Brandi) Vermillion, Mandy (Jason Hart) Vermillion-Green and Melissa "Missy" (Zachary VanVickle) Vermillion; grandchildren: Caden Vermillion, Lili Green, Kyra Vermillion, Karson Green, William Vermillion, Laila Vermillion, Kaylor Vermillion and Grace Vermillion; and siblings: James (Marsha) Smithhisler, Michael (Carolyn) Smithhisler, Phillip (Tonya) Smithhisler, Monica (Ed) Blanchard, Peggy (Randy) Harris, and Maria Smithhisler, plus many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Smithhisler.
She graduate from Mt. Vernon High School in 1972. She worked at Bath Local Schools for over 20 years. She was an awesome mother and the best Mom and Grandma in the whole world. An avid sports aficionado, attending her children's and grandchildren's sporting events, from elementary school through collegiate years.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 15, 2025, from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m., at the Eastside Chapel of Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services. Services will begin at 3:00 p.m., in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bath Local Schools.
