Paralee Carr Zieger, age 100, passed away July 8, 2025. She was born on December 10, 1924, to Ollie Mae and John F. Carr in Bluntzer, Texas. She was raised in San Patricio, Texas and graduated from Mathis High School in 1942.
Paralee married her husband, Quinton of 44 years, on January 8, 1947. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and cousin.
She enjoyed arts & crafts, chair volleyball at the Garden Senior Center, and reading. She will always be remembered for her love and devotion to family.
Paralee is preceded in death by her husband, Quinton Zieger, her parents Ollie Mae and John F. Carr, brothers John Henry Carr, Edward Carr, and Carter Carr, and sisters Mary Hlavik and Martha Hlavik.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Linda Cavalier (Joe), son Robert Zieger (Lisa), sister Hazel Grimes, sister in law, Lil Zieger, sister in law Georgia Carr, grandson Corey Cavalier (Julia), and great granddaughters Amanda Cavalier and Cecily Cavalier and numerous nieces and nephews.
A public visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will begin that same evening at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are Nathan Carr, Cliff Brewer, Mike Carr, Fred Miller, and Ken Hlavik.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Paralee, please visit our floral store.
