Pariozad “Zade” Millikan, 102, of Cleburne passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024 in Midlothian. She was born December 31, 1921 in Mountain View, Oklahoma to Roy and Athel (Jackson) Courtney. Zade married Olin Patterson who preceded her in death in 1964. Then by a chance meeting over the payment of a bill Zade met Delbert Leon Millikan. Delbert had stopped by to pay Zade the $40.00 his son owed her. Delbert said he took one look at Zade and was in awe of her beauty. Even though he had the full $40.00 he decided to only give her $5.00 and told her he would come by every week and pay her $5.00 till the bill was paid. He knew this would give him 7 weeks more to get to know her. They were dating before the 7 weeks were up. Delbert and Zade were married on May 16, 1965 in Cleburne and spent 45 wonderful years together until Delbert passed away in March of 2003.

Zade is survived by her children, Lawana Threadgill, Ruth Ann Miller and Larry Millikan; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 44 great-great-grandchildren.

Zade is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Olin Patterson; second husband, Delbert Millikan; sons, Donald Patterson and Leon Millikan; sister and 2 brothers.

Service for Zade will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 5, 2024, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery in Cleburne. Visitation will be at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 5, 2024 prior to the service.
