Parreh Ngar

Parreh Ngar, 47, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024, in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born on January 1, 1977, in Htay Ta Mar village, Loikaw, Karenni State, to his father, Khu Paul Lu, and his mother, Maw Ka Myar.
From 2001 to 2002, Parreh completed his medic certification and went on to serve as a paramedic with the Karenni Refugee Health Department until 2009. As a healthcare worker, Parreh performed his duties with dedication, passion, and a sense of sacrifice.
In 2009, he and his family resettled in the United States, where he later spent the rest of his life. In America, Parreh continued to be a pillar of the Karenni community, actively participating in preserving cultural traditions and supporting social, religious, and community events. His outgoing personality and humor endeared him to everyone he met, making him a beloved figure among friends and family.
Parreh is survived by his wife and four children. His friends, family, and the community will forever remember him for his warmth, humor, and the unwavering love he shared with those around him.
Parreh's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His life was a testament to the power of kindness, community, and enduring love.
