It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Dr. Pascual Herrera, age 69, of Glencoe, Alabama, who left us peacefully on March 11, 2025. Born in Havana, Cuba, on March 21, 1955, he was the son of Dr. Pascual B. Herrera and Coppelia Herrera.
Dr. Herrera was a compassionate and dedicated physician, with nearly four decades of practice in his field. He graduated from Southern Technical Institute, with an Engineering Degree, then went on to complete his medical degree at the Autonomous University of Barcelona Faculty of Medicine, graduating in the Class of 1984. His passion for medicine and his care for his patients defined his career and touched many lives.
Outside of his work, Dr. Herrera was an avid tennis player, a collector of classic Mercedes-Benz cars, and a passionate photographer. His enthusiasm for life and the world around him were reflected in everything he did.
Dr. Herrera was married to his beloved wife, Debra Herrera, 19 years, since their wedding on March 13, 2006. Together they created a life filled with beautiful memories, laughter, and unwavering support for one another.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Herrera of Glencoe, AL; his children, Andriana Wolfe (Scott) of Southside, AL, Alexandre Herrera (Jarris) of Powder Springs, GA, Kristina LeVasseur (Tom) of Springfield, PA, Alyssa Herrera (Tianyi) of Coconut Creek, FL, and Pascual Herrera of Jacksonville, FL; his stepchildren, David Yarbrough and Leslie Peek; his sister, Coppelia Kranick (Kevin) of Achworth, GA; brother-in-law, Robert Hammons (Kelly) of San Clemente, CA; his mother-in-law, Juanita Hammonns of Gadsden, AL; grandchildren, Austin Brewer, Tristan Peek, Nico Thapa, Anabella Thapa, Troy Peek, Baron Herrera, Balyn Herrera, Alex LeVasseur, and Lucas LeVasseur; and his nephews, Michael Moore and Kristopher Kranick. He also leaves behind numerous cousins, friends, extended family, and his beloved doodle Gigi, all of whom will miss him dearly.
His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his legacy of kindness, humor, and generosity will never be forgotten.
Rest in peace, Pascual. You will forever be loved and missed.

So sorry to hear this...as Dr. Herrera was such a great human. The care he gave, and his genuine concern was undeniably the best I've had. Sending peace, understanding, and comfort to family. God Bless
