Pasquale Sapone died peacefully on May 19, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on Oct. 27, 1928, and fondly known as "Pat, "Squal," "the mayor of dialysis" he will be remembered for his kindness, humor and drive.
To his family, his profession and place of employment were not what mattered. His wit, sense of humor, kind heart and drive to fight - the hallmarks of this wonderful man's personality - are what will be remembered always.
Pasquale was passionate about his family and had an incredible ability to make people laugh. He loved boating, golf, bowling, and building.
His daughter, Gail wrote: "You were the epitome of a Dad! Not only to your children, but to my child, too Your legacy lives on in all of us. You were an extraordinary man. Caring, loving, independent, fierce, yet gentle – you wore your heart on your sleeve. Mess with your loved ones and there was hell to pay!
"The MOST amazing husband, Dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, man and human being. We were so truly blessed and lucky to be your family! We, your children, are who we are because of you and Mom.
"You touched more hearts and lives than anyone I have ever known! It poured the day after you passed, all the tears shed in your honor.
"Forever our hero and now our angel."
He was predeceased by his father, Erasmo (Joseph) Sapone; his mother, Elizabeth Sapone; his brothers, Joseph and Rocco; his sister, Antoinette Marczyk; his mother-in-law Felicia Bloom; father-in-law Fred Bloom; sisters-in-law, Marie Dorsey, Lillian Collins, and Carol Tornatore; and brothers-in-law, Bobby and William "Bill" Bloom.
Pasquale is survived by his loving wife of nearly 75 years, Ruth; his children, Patti Sapone (and her husband, Walter); Gary Sapone, Joe Sapone (and his wife, Carolyn) and Gail Sapone; his grandchildren, Kyle Woodworth – also his honorary son – (and his wife, Nicole), Wesley Sapone, and Lauren Sapone; his great-grandchildren, Lukas Woodworth and Maverick Pasquale Woodworth; his sister, Mary Dasilva; many nieces, nephews and an enormous number of friends.
Services are for immediate family only but a celebration of life will follow at a later date. This was a life to be celebrated!
