Pat Baumgarn, wife of Lowell Baumgarn, of rural Round Lake, Minnesota passed away on May 8, 2023, at the age of 75.
Private family services will be held.
Patricia Ann Baumgarn, affectionately known as Pat, was born on August 26, 1947, to Thelma and Alfred McNab in Worthington, Minnesota. She spent her formative years in Rushmore and Worthington, cultivating the values and qualities that would shape her remarkable life. With heavy hearts, we announce her peaceful passing, surrounded by loved ones, on May 8, 2023.
Education played an important role in Pat's life, and she graduated from high school in 1966, setting the stage for her future endeavors. Fueling her passion for beauty and style, she attended Cosmetology School in Mankato, Minnesota, where she honed her skills until 1968.
On September 5, 1987, Pat embarked on a lifelong journey of love and companionship when she was united in marriage to Lowell Baumgarn. Pat found immense joy as a homemaker, cultivating a welcoming and loving environment for her family.
Pat's faith held a central place in her heart, and her strong Catholic beliefs guided her path. She actively participated in the Catholic Daughters of America, nurturing her spirituality and fostering connections within her community. Her unwavering devotion and steadfast values were a source of inspiration for all who knew her.
A creative spirit, Pat found solace and delight in various artistic pursuits. Home decorating, tending to flowers, and engaging in crafting projects brought her immense satisfaction. She possessed a keen eye for design and an ability to transform the ordinary into something extraordinary. Pat's love for recomposing junk allowed her to showcase her unique talent for repurposing discarded treasures, breathing new life into them.
Pat and Lowell enjoyed traveling, embarking on memorable trips to Florida, Arizona, and Hawaii. They reveled in the exploration of new places and created cherished memories along the way. In the summertime, Pat and Lowell found solace and joy in tending to their garden, nurturing vibrant flowers.
Pat radiated warmth and affection, cherishing every moment spent with her family and friends. Her laughter and smile were contagious, lighting up any room she entered. Conversations held a special place in her heart, and she cherished the hours spent visiting loved ones and friends over the phone.
With a compassionate soul, Pat continually extended love and support to those in need. She selflessly gave of herself, offering a helping hand, an empathetic ear, or a kind word to uplift others. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she would gladly give anyone the shirt off her back.
Those blessed to have shared in Pat's journey will forever cherish her memory. She leaves behind her husband, Lowell Baumgarn; her daughter, Angie Bauer; Pat is also survived by her siblings: William McNab, Jeffrey McNab, and Kristine Jandal; her grandchild, Jay SanSoussi; additionally, Pat leaves behind extended family and friends.
