Pat (Burleson) Roland, 74 of Asheville, NC passed away on January 30, 2023 at Memorial Mission Hospital. She was born April 17, 1948 in Asheville the daughter of the late Gilbert Paul Burleson and Beverly Virginia (Dalton) Burleson. She was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Ann Burleson.
Pat was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and was a graduate of Owen High School Class of 1966 and also the Western Academy of Hair Design with a Cosmetology Degree. She was the Assistant Manager at Hair Plus in the Asheville Mall and was the owner of Great Impressions Hair Salon. Pat was a member of the Family of Faith Fellowship and the Swannanoa Valley Lions Club, serving as the District Governor of 31-A from 2004-2005.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert "Bob" Carson Roland; her children, Michael Paul Roland of Marion, NC; Robert Matthew (Jodi Banks Roland) Roland of Swannanoa, NC; Misty Lynn (Ryan Quick) Roland of Cary, NC; her sister, Kathy Juanita Burleson of Asheville, NC; her grandchildren, Brandon Matthew (Tiffany Henry Roland) Roland of Raleigh, NC; Johnathon Paul Roland of Swannanoa, NC; Britnee Leigh Roland of Carrolton, TX; Chelsea Marie Roland of Marion, NC; Hannah Lynn Ledford of Cary, NC; Brooklynn Nicole Roland of Swannanoa, NC; Abigail Heidi Ledford of Cary, NC; Nathan Scott Ledford of Cary, NC; Chloe Madison Wright and Cailan Morgan Wright of Swannanoa, NC.
Visitation for Pat will be on Monday, February 6, 2023 from 6 to 8 pm at Penland Family Funeral Home, 125 South Ave., Swannanoa, NC. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 12:30 pm in Penland Family Funeral Home with soloist Stacey Robinson and Rev. James King officiating, burial will follow at 2:00 pm at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 962 Old US 70 Highway, Black Mountain, NC 28711.
