Shirley Jean Snelson Metcalf, 72, of Marshall passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024 at her home. Born April 12, 1952 in Asheville, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Dorothy Snelson. She was a member of Redmond Baptist Church and was self employed most of her life. She enjoyed trips to Pigeon Forge to eat and flea market, playing with her cats, and playing her keyboard and making gospel music. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons, Bob Baldwin and Randy Metcalf. Surviving Shirley is her loving husband of 42 years, Glenn Metcalf; her son, Mitchell Metcalf of Marshall; brother, Ronnie Snelson and his spouse, Patti, Clover, SC; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Redmond Baptist Church.
