Pat Slusser Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Gray-Parker Funeral Home from Jan. 20 to Jan. 21, 2026.
Patrick Michael Slusser

Otisville, NY

Our beloved father, Patrick "Pat" Michael Slusser, of Otisville, NY passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on January 17, 2026, at Garnet Health Medical Center, Middletown, NY, at the age of 81.

Born August 10, 1944 in Wilkes Barre, PA to the late Gerald Slusser and Anna McCauley Slusser.

Pat served his country in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Benning, GA from 1965 – 1967.

Beloved Husband of the late Alice (Gramp) Slusser (2008). Devoted Father of Donna Capizzo and Husband Alfonso and the family dog Scotty, and Robin Imbarrato and Husband Mario. Loving grandfather to Patrick, Bryon and his dog Lorelei, Brendan and his wife Alyssa and their dog Maple, Sean, and Casey Imbarrato, and Brion (Ross), Jocelyn, Giovanni, Vittorio, and Rhiannon Capizzo. Loving Great Grandfather to Ryder James Ross.

Pat was predeceased by his parents, and his siblings Lt. Gerald A. Slusser, Phyllis (Slusser) Rayeski, Rose Marie Slusser, and Ann Marie Slusser, and baby boy Slusser. Pat is survived by his brother Robert Slusser of Wilkes Barre, PA along with Cousins, Nephews, Nieces, and Grand Nephews and Nieces.

Pat was predeceased by his wife's parents Gerhard and Mildred (Gill) Gramp, and Brother-in-law Richard Gramp and Niece Jennifer Gramp along with his grand dog Aubrey and his beloved dog Brandy. He is survived by his wife's family Robert and Nancy Gramp, Millie Hughes, and John Gramp, along with Cousins, Nephews, Nieces and Grand Nephews and Nieces.

Pat made many friends throughout his life and was a generous and kind man. He had many jobs throughout his life and was hard working, with his last job working in construction. Pat was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting with friends and with his dog Brandy. Pat enjoyed sports and coached little league, which he also enjoyed with his grandkids. He bowled in a league with his brother-in-law, John Gramp, played softball with family and friends for the Kratchlow Brother's with a nickname "Uncle Sudsy," and always loved going to family game nights, concerts, parties, trivia, passing out Lottery Tickets, going to Cellaio's, and attending horror movie nights at his daughter Robin's house. He fished, went to drag racing events, played video games, went sky diving, attended the fair, and just enjoyed hanging out with a vodka and coke. He loved a variety of music and spent many nights at Robin's listening to good music with family and friends. Before every trip in the car, he would say, "Here we go, can't be bad." The kids are going to miss his special visits with his Pop Cookies.

Leaving behind a legacy of hard work, kindness and fun, our Dad, Pop, Husband, Uncle, Brother, and Friend will surely be missed by his family, his fellow Veterans, and many friends. He is beyond loved. His journey has taken so many roads. God Bless him.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 10:00 AM from Holy Name of Jesus RC Church, 43 Highland Ave., Otisville, NY.
