Pat Wayne 72, of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024 at the Heartford House in Owensboro. Patricia Jeannette Crawford was born July 22, 1952 in Oakland, California to the late Leslie Dean and Ruby Mae Houtchens Crawford and was affectionately known as either 'Pat', 'Mom', 'Granny', or 'Auntie' to both her friends and family. Pat was a beacon of love and kindness to all who knew her. She brought joy and warmth to the lives she touched, leaving a legacy of cherished memories.
Pat was born and lived in California as a teen but found her home in Kentucky in the 1960s, where she would go on to build her life and raise her family. Pat was a dedicated homemaker, a role she embraced wholeheartedly, pouring her love and attention into creating a nurturing environment for her children and all those she held dear.
Pat was a member of the Baptist faith and her life was marked by her passion for the outdoors. She had a special talent for tending to her garden, where she spent countless hours nurturing her flowers and plants. Her yard was a vibrant tapestry that reflected the care and attention she gave to every living thing. Those who knew Pat will remember her for the love she had for yard work, a pastime that was only surpassed by the time she spent with her beloved family and friends.
Her home was a welcoming haven where laughter and stories were shared, and memories were made. Pat's presence was a comfort, and her guidance a steady hand for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a source of wisdom and strength, and her influence will live on in the values she instilled in her family.
Pat's kindness extended beyond her family as she was a friend to many. Her ability to listen and her willingness to lend a hand were qualities that drew people to her. She had the gift of making everyone feel at home, and her absence will be deeply felt by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by a grandson, Caymon Wayne; by a daughter-in-law, Mandy Hicks Crawford; and by a niece, Sharon Duke.
Pat is survived by three sons, Damon Crawford, Aaron Wayne, and Chad Wayne (Amanda Tolle) all of Owensboro; three grandchildren, Avery Wayne, Jayden Wayne, and Jay Wayne; 2 great-grandchildren; a brother, Les Crawford (Wendy) of Keno, Oregon; a sister, Karen Blan of Grand Rivers, Kentucky; and a special friend, Cindy Gilmore of Owensboro.

I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom. May she rest in the arms of the angels. If there is anything I can do you know where i am.
