Patricia May Bachman

Patricia "Pat" May Bachman, age 77 of Corning, New York passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center on the date of what would have been her 54th wedding anniversary. She was born on May 21, 1945 in Corning, New York, the daughter of the Kenneth and Ella (Graham) Walch. Patricia was a graduate of Northside High School--class of 1962. She married David Bachman on March 15, 1969 in Elmira, NY.
Pat walked into Corning Glass Works at the young age of 17, working papers in hand, to start her employment. In 2001, after a long career, she retired as a IT Specialist with Corning, Inc. After a short hiatus, she decided to join Curreri Accounting, working for Frank Curreri from 2004 until 2018.
At that point, she decided that she wanted to spend her golden years enjoying all that Waneta Lake had to offer. She purchased her cottage in 2006 and fully renovated it in 2008. Pat made many friendships throughout her years at the lake and enjoyed relaxing with her friends and family--many times with an ice cold cocktail in her hand.
A cause she believed in and looked forward to was helping with the annual Act-N-Do Thanksgiving Outreach at Fran's Landing with Kevin, Troy and Loretta.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelley( Pete Fitzsimmons) Bachman of Caton; step-daughter: Holly (Alessandro) Buxton of California; siblings: Ann Kirk of Lindley, Carol Moran of Painted Post, Gayle Trevino of Painted Post, and Raymond (Patty) Walch of Addison; step-grandchildren and their families: Leeanne Merchant of NC, Lisa Heichel of Mansfield, PA, Peter Fitzsimmons of Elmira; special nephew: Tommy (Paula) Kirk and their children and granddaughter; nieces: Hollie Skidmore and family, Jill Stugart and family, and grand-kitties: Arlo and Kylie.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her husband, David Bachman in 2001; her aunt and uncle, Joseph and Madeilne Young who raised her from a young age; father and mother-in-law Lee and Viola Bachman; brothers-in-law: Joe Moran, Carl Trevino, Don Carpella; nephew, Lynn Moran.
A Celebration of Life party will be held at the cottage on Waneta Lake this summer, date and time to be announced at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Flint Funeral Home, Addison. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband in Addison Rural Cemetery.
