CARTHAGE – Patricia Ann Blair, 72, died peacefully at the home of her daughter Kathy, under the care of her loving family, on Tuesday morning, May 14, 2024.
She was born on July 25, 1951, in Carthage, the daughter of Claude & Isabell Flint Goldthrite, she attended local schools. She married Karl Blair at the Methodist Church in Holley, NY on December 18, 1971. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker, she was a nature lover who also enjoyed thrifting and antiques. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Karl Blair, Carthage; and their children and spouses: Tina (Steve) Hartley of Deferiet; Karl P. (Melissa) Blair, Tuscon, Arizona; Robert (Niecy) Blair of Rochester; Kathy (Alexander) Finley, of Carthage; and Heather (Ethan) Gallagher of Three Mile Bay; along with her 11- grandchildren, Shannon Blair, Kacie Blair, Karl Cameron Blair, Paige Thorne, Samuel Thorne, Noah Blair, Anna Blair, Addyson Blair, Isabella Finley, Lincoln Finley, Gabriel Gallagher, and her great-granddaughter, Ada Regan.
Also surviving are her siblings, Charles & Sandra Goldthrite, Mary & Steven Backus, Patrick & Yvonne Goldthrite, Kathleen Goldthrite & her companion, Pete Shettleton, Michael & Carol Goldthrite, and Daniel Goldthrite; and hundreds of nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents, Isabell & Claude, her siblings, Susan Goldthrite, Joel Goldthrite, Claude Goldthrite Jr., Lewis Goldthrite, Elizabeth “Bessie” Marriott, Thomas Goldthrite, John Goldthrite, George Goldthrite, Claudia “Jeannie” Gadbaw, Dennis Goldthrite and Margaret Rhone; two siblings who passed at birth and two cousins who were like siblings, Amy Oliver and Gary Goldthrite.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 17th, 2024 from 1:00 -3:00 PM in the Chapel of the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage with Pastor Anneury Vargas officiating. A Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 PM. The burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery, Carthage.
