Patricia "Pat" Brain was born on October 20, 1955, in Loveland, CO to Arthur and Marjorie Bransom Heywood. The early part of her life was spent in Loveland where she met the love of her life, Jack Brain. They began their life together as husband and wife on May 22, 1986. Jack and Pat had many great years together and even after life took them in different directions, they remained close. Pat worked at Teledyne Waterpik in Loveland, CO for 15 years before moving to Iowa in 1997. She found her home in Eldon and began working at Chommy's where she was a dedicated cook and server for over 15 years. Even though she was not one for the limelight she loved the relationships that she formed while working there. Pat always enjoyed nature, especially birds and flowers. She was a talented cook at both work and home. October brought Halloween, which was one of her favorite times of the year, and she never missed a chance to tell you about her '67 Camero. Above all, she valued time with her friends and family.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Jack Brain.
Left to honor their memory is her stepdaughters, Chantelle (Jeremiah) Grooms of Ottumwa, IA and Heather Brain of Jefferson, CO; nine grandchildren, Ashley, Savannah, Jasey, Jaiden, Ryele, Kaylor, Damian, Tori, and Daniel; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Geraldine Heywood of Berthoud, CO; her niece, Tiffany Heywood; great nieces, Amanda, Allison, Emily, Aspen and Wren; great nephews, Jonathon and Hawk; her dear friend, Barb Davis, as well as many extended family and friends in the community that she called home.
