Patricia Ann Bray, age 81, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of March 1st, 2024 at the Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, MN, surrounded by her loving family.
Patricia was born April 1st, 1942 to Einard and Elizabeth Larson in Palmer, MI. She attended St. Paul High School in Negaunee, Class of 1960, and married Jacob Bray that same year. As a loving wife and mother, she followed Jake as his career in the US Navy led them to make their home in many locations including Hawaii, Scotland, Wisconsin, California, and Washington, before returning back to the UP to raise their five children.
Mrs. Bray was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Palmer. You could often find Pat, with her love for the outdoors, caring for her garden and feeding the birds and any other wildlife that happened in her yard, especially Chip-Chip the chipmunk.
Surviving are her children: Denise (Rocco) VandenWyngaard of Neenah, WI, Michael Bray of Menasha, WI, Christopher (Heidi) Bray of Palmer, and Elizabeth (Kenny) Horrocks of Duluth, MN; eight grandchildren: Olivia, Sophia, Jacob, Joseph, Elijah, Matthew, Makenzie, and Chace; and numerous nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jacob in 2019; her daughter, Debra Bray; brother, Roy Larson; and sister, Marion Auraudi.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the caring staff at Solvay Hospice House for their excellent care in this difficult time.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 15th at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Palmer, with Rev. Larry Van Damme officiating. Interment will be in the Negaunee Cemetery. The family will greet relatives for one hour prior to Mass on Friday, and also at a luncheon immediately following services in the church fellowship hall.
