Patricia J. Czarrunchick, 78, died peacefully on September 26, 2025.
Born in Somerville to the late Henry James and Nola Scholz, she was raised in Piscataway and was a 1965 graduate of Piscataway High School. Patricia attended Middlesex County Vo-Tech and became a licensed cosmetologist.
She met the love of her life, Nicholas M. Czarrunchick while they were both a part of bowling leagues at Strike and Spare. The two were married and eventually settled in Somerville where they raised their family. Patricia was a cosmetology educator at Somerset Vo-Tech and spent over a decade finding joy in teaching a new generation how to provide professional services with a personal touch. She had the privilege of teaching her own daughter who became licensed as well.
Mrs. Czarrunchick was a professional Mom who devoted herself to her children. She attended all of their practices, games, and matches, and was instrumental in integrating the wrestling program at vo-tech to integrate with Somerville for a stronger team. This continued on to her grandchildren where her role as grandma was the greatest promotion she could receive and enjoyed the quality time spent together. Patricia was a kind soul who brought joy to everyone who knew her, especially her family. She enjoyed trips to the jersey shore, going on a Sunday drive, and had a collection of elephants from her travels.
She was preceded in death by her dear sisters Tery and Maureen Scholz.
Surviving are her beloved husband, Nicholas M. Czarrunchick, her loving children Nicholas J., Marcus and wife Tana, Stephen and wife Lori, and Meghan and Pete Nastacio, her cherished grandchildren, Justin, Anthony, Marcus, Alexis, and Elliana, her sister Gail Ruse (Scholz).
