ROCK - Patricia Ann Humphrey Davis, 71, affectionately known as "Miss Davis" to her co-workers and students, met her Lord and Savior on April 28, 2025.
Born in Hinton, WV, on December 21, 1953, she was the daughter of Shirley Humphrey and the late Garnet Persinger Humphrey. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Monty Ike Davis.
Patricia was an aide in Mercer County Schools for 41 years, serving at Lashmeet Elementary School and Lashmeet-Matoaka Elementary. She was beloved by all who knew her. Her hobbies included tending her flowers and feeding the birds and deer. She cherished her dogs Butchie and Bucky. She was heartbroken when Bucky ran away.
As a faithful member of Rich Creek Baptist Church, she played piano and helped with children's church and Sunday School.
Left to cherish her memory are her father, Shirley Humphrey; sister, Shirlene Jane Westrope and husband Walt; nephew, Andre Buck and wife Becky; and great-nephews, Levi and Andy Buck; and several cousins.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to all the ladies at Hospice Compassus; and especially, Tina Thompson. Their kindness is greatly appreciated.
