Patricia Jane DeMars, 88, of Fremont passed away on July 21, 2025 at Danbury Senior Living in Hudson, OH with loving care of family by her side. She was born in Lorain, Ohio on December 15, 1936 to the late Clyde and Mary (Pilarsh) Futch.
A 1954 graduate of Fremont St. Joseph High School, Pat went on to have a career at Fremont Memorial Hospital as a Radiology Technician. She retired in 1991 as a Nuclear Medicine Technician.
On September 27, 1958, she married Richard Earl DeMars in Fremont, and he survives.
Pat enjoyed reading, travelling, and spending time with her grandson, Jarred. She loved watching him grow up, and they shared many interests, particularly a love of history and engaging conversations as he reached adulthood.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Dick of Hudson, OH; daughters, Liz (Bill) Batesole of Fremont, Mimi DeMars (Andrew Willow) of New York City, NY, Julie (Greg) Storer of Hudson, OH, and DeAnna (Terry) Cox of Hartsville, TN; and grandson, Jarred Storer of Hudson, OH.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Mary; and brother, David Futch.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 26, beginning at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fremont. All are invited to stay and share stories and lunch at the church immediately following the service. Burial will follow the lunch at St. Joseph Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Angie Schroeder and the staff at Elmwood Assisted Living and Danbury Hudson who showed Pat their compassion and kindness.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made for Pat DeMars to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, or to Danbury Senior Living, Hudson.
