Rita Caroline Schroeder, 90, born June 17, 1935 in Clinton, IA to Henry and Elise (Jacobs) Cossman died on October 9, 2025 at Bellevue Care Center in Bellevue, OH. She graduated from Fulton High School in 1953 and married Charles H. Schroeder on November 2, 1960 in Fulton, IA. Together they raised six children; James Schroeder of Helena, OH; Suzanne (Robert) Brady of Tyler, TX; Angela (Anthony Ochs) Schroeder of Fremont, OH; Jennifer (Barry) Herron of Luckey, OH; Daren Schroeder of Gibsonburg, OH; Steven (Janet) Schroeder of Gibsonburg, OH; and one deceased child. She is survived by her children; 12 grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, husband; siblings: Phyllis Jones, Jean Asbury, Gerald Cossman, Dorene Cummis Key, Gloria Brit and Donald Cossman She was a member of Saint Ann Catholic Church in Fremont and will be buried with her husband at St. Joseph Cemetery. Private Services have taken place. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s's Childrens Hospital, Ronald McDonald House or Eternal Word TTelevisionNetwork.
