Patricia Ann Tierney Duff, 80, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Augusta Health in Fishersville surrounded by her family.
She was born on April 1, 1945, in Hartford, Connecticut to the late Martin Frederick, Sr. and Margaret Regina Burdick Tierney.
For most of her adult life, Patricia worked as a textile worker. Later, she continued her career at Wal-Mart, where she eventually retired.
In her free time, Patricia enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She loved playing bingo and Jumanji with family and friends. Trips to the beach brought her great happiness, visiting her sons’ homes, were her “home away from home” and she especially treasured the moments she spent with her grandchildren. Patricia found great joy in spoiling them and creating memories together.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-two years, to whom she was married to on October 18, 1974, Charles Edward Duff, her sons, Paul W. Duff and his wife, Lucinda and Timothy Duff and his wife, Carolyn; her brothers, Martin Frederick Tierney, Jr. and his wife, Garnett and Andrew Miller; her sisters, Lyndia Jean Tierney Rust and Teresa June Tierney Thompson and her husband, James; her sister-in-law, Tammie Tierney; her grandchildren, Colton, Amber, Ashley, Preston, Jasmine, and Aaron Duff, James Balser, Justin and Jared Bowles, and Keelyn; and her great-grandchildren, Serina Jackson, Alyssa, Anthony, and Timothy Duncan, Penelope Balser, Blair Duff, and Wade Bowles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Albert William Tierney.
At this time, there will be no services.
Arrangements are entrusted to Henry Funeral Home.
