Patricia "Pat" Joyce (View) Ferranti

Midland, Michigan (formerly of Essexville, MI)

August 1, 1939 – August 7, 2025

With hearts full of love and gratitude for a life well lived, the family of Patricia "Pat" Joyce (View) Ferranti announces her peaceful passing at home in Midland, Michigan, on August 7, 2025, just days after celebrating her 86th birthday.

Born on August 1, 1939, in Bay City, Michigan, to the late Ernie and Vivian View, Pat was a 1958 graduate of Handy High School. She went on to build a meaningful life rooted in faith, family, and community.

In 1959, Pat married the love of her life, Frank Ferranti, and together they shared 66 years of love, laughter, and service. Marrying into an Italian family, Pat wholeheartedly embraced the Italian culture, becoming an exceptional cook and hostess. She and Frank shared many happy memories working side by side at church functions and catering events, where their warm hospitality touched many lives. Pat was an avid reader and owner of the Discount Book Shop, which she operated for 26 years.

Pat was the heart of her family-always present, always listening. She had the rare and treasured gift of empathy, offering comfort and guidance, especially to her children and grandchildren in their times of need.

Above all else, Pat's faith anchored her life. Her personal relationship with her Lord was the guiding light through every joy and every trial, and it was evident to all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Frank; her children, Michele Ferranti, Terri (Eric) VanHouten, and Michael (David) Ferranti; her grandchildren, Megan (Alex) Rezler, Jonah (Nichole) VanHouten, Adrienne (Jonny) Blaha, Derek Jankowiak, Hannah Ownsby, and Joshua (Janelle) Ferranti; and eight great-grandchildren-Claire, Amelia, Collin, Peyton, Emery, Lincoln, Milo, and Rainah.

Pat is also survived by her siblings Carol O'Neil, Janet Zerby, and Ronald View, as well as her sister-in-law Donna View.

She is preceded in death by her beloved son, David Ferranti; her brother, Jerry View; sister-in-law, Pat View; and brothers-in-law, Gary O'Neil and Bill Zerby.

Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of Pat's life on Sunday, August 10, at Squires Funeral Home, 211 N. Henry Street, Bay City, Michigan. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m., led by Pastor Dave Ferranti.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate nurses of hospice who cared for Pat in her final days.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan at https://NKFM.org.

Pat's legacy is one of love, faith, and quiet strength-a life that will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
