Patricia Ann "Trish" Gates

Patricia (Trish) Garner Gates, 57, of Corinth, Mississippi, passed peacefully on April 19, 2025.
Trish was born July 18, 1967, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Robert N. Garner and Judy P. Garner. She enjoyed spending time with her companion, Brian Jackson, riding motorcycles and traveling. Trish loved anything outdoors, including fishing and being at the lake. Family was the cornerstone of her life, and her love of dogs extended joyfully to her puppy Harley and grandpuppy, Shiloh.
Trish graduated from Captain Shreve High School in Shreveport, LA. One of the accomplishments she was most proud of was her contribution to the NSU Demon Crew rowing team at Northwestern State University in Louisiana. Trish made an impact on people in a variety of workplaces, which included working as a loan officer within the financial sector and later showcasing her leadership abilities as a line supervisor at Caterpillar.
Above all else, Trish cherished her family, showering them with unwavering love and support. Her selfless nature shone brightly in her constant willingness to put the needs of others before her own. Truly a servant at heart, she lived her life guided by a deep and abiding love for the Lord. Trish attended North Corinth Baptist Church in Corinth, MS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert N. Garner and Judy P. Garner Williamson, and her stepfather, Glenn M. Williamson, Sr.
Trish is survived by her daughter, Logan K. Gates, and son William W. Gates III. She leaves behind her beloved sister Donna K. Quinn and brother John R. Garner (Jacquatta); her stepbrothers Glenn M. Williamson Jr. (Dawn) and Phillip L. Williamson; many loving nieces and nephews: Jonathan A. Garner, Matthew T. Garner (Laura), Ayden M. Quinn, Danielle R. Williamson, Glenn M. Williamson III, Megan N. Williamson, Hunter K. Williamson; and "adopted" son Bryson Jackson.
A Celebration of Life to honor Trish will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Lovejoy Church in Panola County, MS (783 Lovejoy Rd, Batesville, MS), with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm.
Memorials in Trish's honor can be sent to the American Cancer Society.
