Patricia Anne Gingras Goodman, 89, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on September 8, 2025.
The funeral service will be held on Monday September 15, 2025 at 2 pm at Grifton Free Will Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at 1 pm at the church. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Estates.
She was born on June 27, 1936, in Manchester, New Hampshire, and lived a life full of faith, love, adventure, and sacrifice. Patricia was a devoted member of Grifton Free Will Baptist Church in Grifton, North Carolina, where she faithfully worshiped and served for many years.
On December 31, 1985, Patricia married the love of her life, Gene Allen Goodman. Together they shared 39 beautiful years of marriage, rooted in love, devotion, and their walk with Christ.
Patricia was the proud mother of five children, grandmother to eleven grandchildren, and great-grandmother to seventeen great-grandchildren. Her family was her greatest joy, and she nurtured each generation with love, wisdom, and strength.
She was preceded in death by her son, John Patrick; her daughter, Kathryn Smart; her grandson, Victor Toner; and her parents, Anna Lillian Tkacz and Victor Francis Gingras. Despite the sorrow of these losses, she remained a source of faith, comfort, and encouragement to all who knew her.
Patricia will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her selfless and giving heart, and her deep, abiding faith. Her home was always open, her heart always full, and her kindness touched countless lives.
Though her passing leaves a great void, her loved ones rejoice in knowing she is now in the presence of her Savior.
