Patricia Elise Goss

Patricia Elise Goss, 84, of Iowa City passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha, IA.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00pm – 6:00pm on Friday, November 21, 2025 at Lensing's Oak Hill in Coralville. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice.

Patricia was born on May 26, 1941 in Gardner, Maine, the daughter of Dexter and Prudence (Libby) Williams.

On October 2, 1957, Patricia married James "Jim" Richard Goss at the V.A. Chapel in Iowa City. They had four children: Stacy, James, Terrie and Jason. With Jim having a career in the US Navy, the family lived in several states, finally settling back in Iowa City.

Patricia had a wonderful sense of humor and could always tell a good story. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, gambling and spending time in the yard. Her deepest love was her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Patricia is survived by her children: Stacy (Bob), James (Tammy), Terrie (Jamie) and Jason; grandchildren: Jacob (Corey), Katelyn (Lucas), James, Elizabeth (Cole), Mackenzie, Emily, and one great-grandchild, Jason Patrick "JP"; her brothers Bob and Dexie, all who will miss her greatly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim in 2016 and her brother Dick.
