Patricia Grandy Obituary
Services for Mrs. Grandy will be delayed today.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1p.m. Visitation will take place, prior beginning at 12p.m. at St. Cecilia's Church in Fonda.
Patricia A Grandy, 83, of Fultonville, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Nathan Littauer Rehab and Nursing Facility with her loving family by her side.
Patricia was born in Amsterdam, NY on August 8, 1942, a daughter of the late George Spannbaur and Bernice Stearns Morton. Patricia was educated at the Fultonville High School.
She was united in marriage to Gerald R Grandy on October 20, 1962 at St Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church where she remained an avid member throughout her lifetime. Gerald and Patricia were inseparable for 63 wonderful years.
What Patricia loved most was spending quality time with her family and friends. Before retirement she owned and operated Pat & Mikes Coffee Shop in Fultonville, NY.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving family, including her husband Gerald of Fultonville, son Todd Grandy of Vero Beach, FL, son Michael Grandy of Fultonville, daughter Linda Denton (Mark) of Fultonville, Carrie Williams (Mark) of Lee Summit, MO. Six grandchildren, Kyle Grandy (Melike), Marissa Scofield (Ryan), Zachary Denton (Morgan), Joshua, Emma and Matthew Williams. Five great granddaughters, Adalee, Ella, Madison, Leila and Charlee. Also survived by Tina Mesko (Robert) of Fort Johnson, and family. Also left to cherish her memory are sisters, Linda Anderson (John), Eileen Weis (George) and brother John Spannbauer (Nancy). Sisters in Law, Donna Jackson and Ruth Lohmeyer. Several nieces and nephews, as well as special friends, Randy and Susan Nickerson also survive.
Patricia is predeceased by infant son Gerald Christopher Grandy and son David Grandy (Stephanie), granddaughters, McKayla, Nicole and Kaitlyn Grandy. Also predeceased are a sister Mary Green (William) and brother George Spannbauer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church,26 Broadway, Fonda, NY with Rev. Juanito Asprec as celebrant. Interment will be in the spring in Maple Avenue Cemetery, Fultonville, NY.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday December 28, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Rose & Hughes Funeral Home, 200 Church St., Amsterdam, NY and Monday, December 29, 2025 prior to the funeral Mass at St. Cecilia's Church from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Gerald, Mike, Todd & the rest of the family. We have been blessed with a life long friendship with the Grandy's. We were also blessed to catch up with & have a few laughs with Pat, Gerald, Jeanie & Mike at Mikes restaurant on our last visit to NY. We never thought that would be the last time we would see her, listen to her hilarious stories & crack up with her. Heaven is a little brighter. She will be extremely missed. Deb & Steve Oare
