MARQUETTE, MI- Patricia Ann (Daugherty) Jordan, age 65, of Marquette, entered eternal life peacefully at home on Saturday, June 29, 2024, surrounded by her family, long term partner of seventeen years; Terry Perkins and the compassionate staff of UP Home Health and Hospice. a lifelong resident of Marquette, Patricia was Born on March 17, 1959, the daughter of the late Roland and Betty (Holm) Daugherty Sr, Patricia's journey was one marked by love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to her community.
Raised in Marquette, Patricia attended Marquette Senior High School. After high school, she embraced the role of a mother with all the grace and dedication that would become her hallmark. Patricia's home was a hub of warmth and generosity, her door always open to those in need of support or a friendly ear.
An avid lover of the outdoors, Patricia found joy in camping under the stars and was a fierce competitor at the cribbage table. Her passion for bowling was matched only by her culinary skills, particularly her famous pasties, which were a beloved treat among friends and family and could be smelled for miles around. Patricia's zest for life was infectious, and her love for the Green Bay Packers was as steadfast as her loyalty to those she held dear.
For 17 years, Patricia worked as a prep cook at the Holiday Inn, where her colleagues became a second family. Her retirement in 2022 was celebrated by all who knew her as a well-earned rest for a woman who had given so much of herself to others.
Patricia's legacy is carried on by her devoted partner of 17 years, Terry Perkins, and her cherished children: Christine (Lee Desotell) Daughtery of Rock, MI, Jessica (Mike) Walline of Ishpeming, MI, and Bruce (Faith Gievers) Jordan of Gwinn, MI. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Brittany (Alan) Desotell, Krista Walline, Mackenzie Ouellette, Tristan Walline, and Nevaeh Ouellette.
Her siblings, Dale (Dawn) Daugherty, Thomas (Laurie) Daugherty, Scott Daugherty, John Daugherty, and Roger Daugherty, will remember her as the sister who always led with her heart. Patricia's life was further enriched by the presence of many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and a very special niece, Betheleen "Daugherty" Wasey. Her lifelong friendship with Bubba/John Atherton was a testament to her ability to form deep and lasting bonds.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and friend Charles Jordan, her brothers Roland "Butch" Daugherty Jr. and Charles Daugherty, her grandson Skylar Daugherty Ouellette, and sisters-in-law Carolyn Daugherty, Dora Daugherty, Pamela Daugherty, and Sue Perry.
In honoring Patricia's wishes, a private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest at the Holy Cross Cemetery, where she will be remembered for her indomitable spirit and the love she spread so freely.
Patricia Ann Jordan's life was a tapestry woven with the threads of kindness, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to her family. Her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her, and her influence will be felt for generations to come.
