Patricia Marie Josselyn, 79 of Andover, MA died July 14, 2025 at The Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading, MA. Born in Pawtucket, RI, she grew up in Lawrence, MA. and was a graduate of Lawrence High School and Castle Secretarial School. She lived in Andover for over 52 years where she lovingly cared for her husband and three children. A wonderful and accomplished chef, she masterfully created the most magnificent holiday and special occasion celebrations any family could ever hope for. She loved gardening, and her many interior plants, her front yard plantings, and her side yard rock garden were transformative, earning her praise from neighbors and visitors.
She was an executive secretary at the Raytheon facility in Andover where she met her husband Richard, after that at the Andover Library and the Andover Brockway Smith facility. After raising her young children at home, she worked at Phillips Academy in the School Year Abroad Program and College Placement Office for many years before moving on to work as an executive administrative assistant at the Mass Housing Partnership in Boston where she retired.
She was a communicant at St. Patricks church in Lawrence and St. Augustines church in Andover, and was a Eucharistic minister at St. Anthonys Shrine in Boston where she attended daily Mass before going to work.
Daughter of the late Philippe McGuire, a Lawrence firefighter, and Marguerite Gingras of Lawrence, MA, she is survived by her husband, Richard, sons David of Washington DC, Brian and daughter Sarah of Andover. As per Patricias request, there will be no wake or services. Her loss creates a terrible void and ache in the familys lives which can never be overcome, but with the countless wonderful memories that Pat left us, we will continue, mindful of the joy she brought us every day. Her simple gifts of a well kept home, fresh cut herbs and flowers, perfect omelets and beautiful Christmas trees were woven through the fabric of our everyday lives and will be sorely missed.
So at last, she is gone. Gone where? Gone from our sight. That is all. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Patricia, please visit our Tree Store.
