With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Patricia Patty Gunn Kuppenbender on August 26, 2024. Born on November 24, 1961, in Schenectady, NY, Patricia was a beacon of resilience and love. Her dedication to serving others and her children was nothing short of remarkable. She was the melody that danced through our lives, singing songs of love to her cherished granddaughter, Millie.
Patricia was the kind of woman who would light up any room she entered. She was a steadfast pillar of strength and support to those who knew her. Patricia's love for her daughters Taylor, Paige, and Samanthawas a love so radiant and unyielding, it shaped us into the women we are today. As Maya Angelou once said, "I sustain myself with the love of family." This was the essence of Patricia's life. Her love was the nourishment that sustained us all, and her memory will continue to do so.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Taylor Gunn Lindahl and son-in-law Jacob Lindahl; her daughters, Paige Gunn and Samantha Gunn; her granddaughter, Millie Lindahl and granddaughter on the way; her brother, William Claycomb and sister-in-law, Carla Claycomb; her sister, Donna Dettling and brother-in-law, Brian Dettling; the father of her children, Jay Gunn, sister-in-laws, Kathleen Claycomb and Cordelia Claycomb; her nieces, Megan Davis (and family) and Rebecca Claycomb; her nephew, Brian Millard (and family); estranged husband, Roy Kuppenbender, and many amazing friends. Patricia was preceded in death by her brothers, John Claycomb and Robert Claycomb; and her parents, Donald and Sue Claycomb.
Patricia's life was a testament to the words of Albert Einstein: "Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile." She lived her life with such grace and compassion, she left an indelible mark on all who knew her. We invite those who remember Patricia to share photos and memories on her memorial page. Your stories will help us to celebrate her life and keep her spirit alive in our hearts.
We will be hosting a private service and celebration of life to honor her love and life. Please reach out to her oldest daughter, Taylor, if interested in attending the celebration of life. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Patricia, please visit our Tree Store.
