Patricia Anne Leising

Patricia Anne Leising, a long-time resident of Clawson, Michigan, sadly passed away on July 13, 2023, at the age of 87.
Patricia was born to Arthur and Clara (Miller) Dimmick, on April 4, 1936, in Attica, Indiana. Growing up, Patricia attended High School in Boswell, Indiana. She graduated in 1954 and then went on to attend both Purdue University and graduate from Eastern Michigan University in 1983.
Patricia found joy working with children in her career as Assistant Director of SCAMP- a special education day camp in Clawson. She was a valued and active member of the community in Clawson and a prolific volunteer, serving as School Board President, Grand Marshall of the 4th of July parade, and named Citizen of the Year in 1997. One of her most gratifying efforts was assisting in resettling a number of Vietnamese refugees in the mid-70s.
Patricia married the love of her life, Maurice Bernard Leising, on September 7, 1957. They spent over 65 years together loving and caring for their family. One of her most treasured memories was traveling to Italy in 1990 with Maurie and seeing him win Inventor of the Year.

Patricia leaves many who will miss her and remember her fondly, including her husband, Maurice Leising; her children, MaryLynn (Gary) Siebenschuh, Bruce (Martha) Leising, and John (Deanna Foxworthy) Leising; her three granddaughters, one grandson, and one great-grandson; and Maurie's sister, Carolyn Maciejewski.
Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Clara Dimmick, and her brothers, John (Karen) Dimmick and William Dimmick.
A visitation for Patricia will be held on Tuesday, July 18, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a rosary service beginning at 7:00 PM, at Gramer Funeral Home, 705 N Main St., Clawson. A funeral Mass will be held the following day, Wednesday, July 19, at 11:00 AM at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 581 14 Mile Road, Clawson, Michigan. Patricia will lie in-state at 10:30 AM.
The family welcomes donations to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library as an expression of sympathy instead of flowers.
