A cherished individual known for her kind, loving, caring and humorous personality left us On October 31, 2025. Patricia "Patti" Ann Lloyd was born on March 30, 1954 in Baumholder Germany. She was one of four daughters born to the late Jimmie L. and Ann (Demogenes) Lloyd. Patti lived a military daughter's life and prided herself as being an "Army Brat", traveling with her family, and ultimately, living in Gloucester, MA, when her dad ended his last military assignment, teaching ROTC at Gloucester High School.
Patti graduated from Gloucester High School and obtained her psychology degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Patti's first visit to Cape Cod came in 1976 and she made it her home in 1981. Patti's hospitality skills which were honed from her early years with the family-owned Lloyd's Restaurant in Gloucester, MA and Jack's Diner in Chelmsford, MA. Thus, guaranteeing she would be successful in her new home. She worked for Dorsie's Steak House, Botsini Corporation, Ocean Edge Resort and Conference Center, and from 2000-2024, Patti worked as the Vice President of Sales for the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce.
It was working for the Chamber that Patti really made her love for Cape Cod shine. Frequently called "The Energizer Bunny", Patti was tireless in her travels all over the United States and Canada in promoting all that Cape Cod had to offer. Her love of Cape Cod and everything about it was infectious and apparent through everything she touched. She got people excited about Cape Cod as a destination for meetings, groups and tours bringing thousands of people each year, not only to the Cape but to Massachusetts. She had a knack of bringing people from all walks of life together. She excelled as a volunteer, winning national, regional, state and local awards and accolades for her dedicated service. Always the life of the party, people wanted to be where Patti was, and she was hard to miss in her favorite color pink and brightly colored Lilly Pulitzer outfits.
In November of 2023, Patti's Family and the Cape Cod Chamber threw a Retirement Party for Patti with over 400 people in attendance who had travelled from near and far to show that Cape Cod loves Patti. It was truly a celebration of a remarkable lady and career.
Foremost in Patti's life was her family who were the highlights of her life. She considered her friends an extension of that family and treasured everyone. She was dedicated, loving and selfless. She was a caring daughter, revering her parents, Jimmie and Ann. Patti leaves behind her loving sisters and "favorite" brother-in-law, Jane Lloyd of Chelmsford, Christina Lloyd Carey and her husband Brian of Dennis; and her four nephews, Alexander Gleason of Jersey City, NJ, Christopher, Nicholas and Zachary all of Dennis who she loved like her own children. Patti especially loves her furry nephews Jingles, Roquefort, Finley, and her love, her summer romance Tucker. Patti was predeceased by her sister Ellen and left behind many Demogenes and Lloyd cousins who have offered years of comfort.
During her cancer journey, Patti was never lost her zest for life and love. Even at the end she found a way to smile and laugh. She will be missed deeply, thought about often, and will be looking down, especially at the beautiful beach on those Cape Cod summer days. She leaves many, many friends who will miss her beautiful smile and spunk. She will be forever remembered for her fervor for life and her dedication to the Cape Cod community.
Per Patti's wishes, there will be no formal wake, and everyone is encouraged to wear pink or Lilly Pulitzer. A service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, Chapman Funeral Home, 58 Long Pond Drive, South
Yarmouth, Ma. 02664 at 11:00 AM with prayers being said at 11:30 AM followed by a celebration of life at Tugboats Restaurant, 11 Arlington Street, West
Yarmouth, MA 02673.
Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Lowell, MA at a later date.
