Patricia Buckel "Hand" Mitchell

Patricia Buckel Mitchell (Hand), age 58, of Meraux, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at her home on August 18, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on March 17, 1967, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Patricia was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her husband, Scott Hand; her daughter, Jordan Mitchell (Robert); and her beloved granddaughters, Alexandria, Emma and Payten. She is also survived by her sister, Cheryl Valle (Manson), along with many nephews, goddaughter, and a host of wonderful friends who will forever cherish her memory. Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved son, John B. Mitchell IV; her parents, Mildred Buckel Antill and Urlich Buckel; and her brothers, Glenn Buckel and Clinton Buckel. Patricia, or "Tricia" to those who knew her best, had a heart as big as her smile and a personality that could light up any room. She was the life of every party, quick with a joke, and always ready for a good time. Family and friends were her world, and she loved nothing more than gathering everyone together, telling stories, and making memories. Patricia will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her legacy of love, joy, and laughter will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
