Patricia Marie (Pike) Mooney
October 31, 1960 – August 17, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and Nana at age 64. Patricia (Trish) was born in Hartford, CT to Winchester Wadsworth Pike Jr. and Dorothy Lorraine (Fredette) Fontes. She attended David W. Carter High School and had 7 siblings. She married Raymond Mooney in 1991. Together, they blended their families and loved their four children; Kenneth Mooney (former wife, Stephanie), Kristin Finkel (Derek), John Wells (Andrea), and Wendy Wilson (Michael).
Trish was a dedicated and hardworking woman throughout her life. She proudly served her country in the United States Marine Corps as a jet mechanic. After becoming a mother, she studied computer science and applied her skills in computer programming. She also supported the family's custom trim carpentry business as the bookkeeper. Later, she found her true calling as a certified nursing aide in home health and hospice care, where she cared for others with tremendous compassion. She was also the devoted full-time caregiver for her mother. Beyond her work, Trish enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking, and dancing, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and creating lasting memories together.
Left to remember her are her mother; brothers, Steve and Billy (Kim); sisters, Harriet (Bob), Rosey (Darrel), Linda, Barbara, and Wendy (Buster); children; and nine grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. A memorial service to celebrate Trish's life will be held at a later date, with details to be shared by the family.
