Patricia "Pat" Moye (née Brobst), 78, of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025.

Born on April 28, 1947, in Akron to Ralph and Frances "Betty" Brobst, Pat grew up surrounded by a close and loving family. She graduated from Ellet High School in 1965 and went on to complete her training at Gerber Beauty School in 1966.

Pat dedicated her life to her craft as a hairstylist, beginning her career at O'Neil's Department Store Beauty Salon and later running her own successful business at Salon Lofts in Fairlawn. Over the decades, her loyal clients followed her wherever she worked, a testament not only to her skill but also to her kindness, warmth, and the friendships she built behind the chair. She retired in 2024 after nearly sixty years in the profession she loved. Many of her clients and co workers became her lifelong friends.

Pat married the love of her life, Timothy (Tim) Moye, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion. Her legacy of independence and resilience lives on through her daughter, Julia (Julie) Christ of Cuyahoga Falls and granddaughter, Elizabeth (Lizzie) Christ of Akron.

Pat had a passion for antiques, especially mid-century modern and Art Deco styles, and she was a devoted animal lover with a special fondness for Labrador Retrievers.

She is survived by her husband, Tim; daughter, Julie; granddaughter, Lizzie; sister, Charlene Kinser of Akron; brother, Bernard (Janet) Brobst of The Villages, Florida; sister, Chris (Al) Barnes of Painesville, Ohio; sister-in-law, Terry (Ronnie) Moye of Barberton; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Betty Brobst and her brother-in-law, James Kinser.

All funeral services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an animal charity of your choice in Pat's honor.
