Patricia (Palumbo) Neary, 73, of Howell, NJ passed away at CentraState Medical Center on Saturday August 2, 2025.
Born in Brooklyn, Pattie moved to Staten Island, NY as a teenager and graduated from New Dorp High School. She moved with her family to Howell in 1987 where she was a School Crossing Guard with the Howell Township Police Department until her retirement in 2005.
An amazing cook known for throwing the best parties and hosting every holiday, nothing gave Pattie greater pleasure than having her family together. She enjoyed traveling, going to concerts and Atlantic City trips with her friends and daughter-in-law. Pattie was a die hard NY Rangers fan, loved the Beatles, and cherished her beloved Jack Russell Terrier, Brady Black.
Anyone lucky enough to know Pattie knows of her incredible energy, strength and personality that was unmatched and unforgettable. She welcomed many into her home and was generous and fun to be around. If you knew Pattie, you awaited her Christmas cookies made yearly with her best friend Terry. The consummate hostess, nothing could compare to a "Pattie Party." Among the many things Pattie treasured in life, she always said that her grandchildren brought her greatest happiness.
Predeceased by her father Christopher Palumbo, and mother, Beatrice T Palumbo, as well as beloved husband Michael J. in 2004, Pattie leaves behind her daughter Jodi Mangano, son-in-law Gregg, and grandson Michael, as well as her son Christopher, daughter-in-law Heather, and granddaughters Emma and Evelyn.
A "Celebration of Life" service will be held at the Church of the Master, Howell, NJ at 11 am on August 16, 2025.
Services are entrusted to Jersey Shore Cremation, 43 Taylor Avenue, Manasquan, NJ.
