Patricia M. Newell

Patricia M. (nee Kain), a beloved figure known for her unwavering devotion to her family and community, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, at the age of 82. Beloved wife of Robert Newell, Jr. for 60 years. Loving mother of Robert Newell III, (Alexandra), Daniel Newell (Mary Page) and the late Thomas Newell. Adoring "Mimi" of Aidan, Jackson, Hadley, and Finnan. Dear "sister" of Trudy Keegan, Michael Newell (Janice), and Mark Newell. She was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Dorothy Kain.
Patricia dedicated her life to being a Professional Mother and Grandmother, roles she cherished above all else. Her nurturing spirit and boundless love left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Pat's life was a testament to her belief in putting family first. She found great joy in spending summers at the Jersey Shore, where she created countless memories with her loved ones. A lifelong fan of the Phillies, she shared the team's ups and downs.
Her commitment to her community was evident through her tireless dedication as a volunteer at her local church and school, Saint William's. Whether serving as a substitute teacher or organizing church events, Pat gave selflessly and inspired others to do the same. She cherished the simple pleasures of life, like lunch dates with friends, where her infectious laughter and warmth always brightened the day.
A true Pillar of Lawndale, Patricia's presence was a constant source of strength and support for those around her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and service will be remembered by all whose lives she touched.
Patricia Newell will be dearly missed and forever held in the hearts of those she loved and served.
Family and friends are invited to her funeral on Thursday August 21, 2025 at St. William Church, 6200 Rising Sun Avenue, Phila 19111.
A viewing will be held from 8:45AM – 9:45AM with a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions in Pat's memory may be made to the American Heart Association
